Funding for spiritual formation available through PBSI
Throughout the history of our Precious Blood communities, formation has been understood as something that is an ongoing journey of conversion — a lifelong invitation to grow more deeply into the mystery of God’s reconciling love revealed in the Blood of Christ. As the needs of the Church and the world continue to evolve, the commitment to nurturing women and men who are rooted in prayer, inspired by the Gospel, and equipped to serve with compassion, wisdom, and hope should be a core tenet of our communities.
Lay associates and lay staff members are indispensable partners in carrying forward the spirituality entrusted to the Precious Blood family. Through their ministries, relationships, leadership, and daily witness, they embody the spirituality that has shaped our communities for generations. Supporting their ongoing spiritual formation is therefore not simply an investment in individuals; it is an investment in the vitality of our shared spirituality and in our future.
The Precious Blood Spirituality Institute believes that meaningful formation occurs in many settings. It may be found during a retreat that renews one’s relationship with God, a workshop that broadens understanding of ministry, a course that deepens theological reflection, or a gathering where faith is shared in community. Each experience offers an opportunity to grow in awareness of God’s presence, to strengthen one’s commitment to reconciliation and justice, and to discover new ways of living the spirituality of the Precious Blood in today’s world.
The Spiritual Formation Fund has been established to encourage and support these opportunities for growth for our lay associates and lay staff members. By providing financial assistance for eligible formation experiences, the institute seeks to remove barriers that might prevent individuals from participating in programs that enrich both personal faith and communal life.
This fund is available to lay associates of our Precious Blood families, as well as to lay staff who serve at our ministry sites across the country. Our hope is that this fund will encourage many members of our Precious Blood family to continue growing in faith, renew their sense of vocation, and carry the gift of our shared spirituality into the places where they live, work, and serve.
