Missionaries of the Precious Blood Student Essay Contest
The Missionaries of the Precious Blood U.S. Province invites high school and undergraduate college students to share an original essay reflecting on reconciliation and vocation through the lens of Precious Blood spirituality. This year’s prompt asks students to consider how their gifts, education, and future work can help heal the world and foster reconciliation. See below for this year’s topic.
Topic: Every vocation as a call to heal
Whether one is called to family life, professional work, or ministry, every vocation can contribute to healing the world. How do you envision using your gifts and education to be a force for reconciliation?
Essays should be approximately 800 words and submitted online by Nov. 20, 2026. Entries will be evaluated on quality of writing, depth of reflection, and alignment with Precious Blood spirituality and Catholic values.
Winners receive cash prizes (First: $1,000; Second: $500; Third: $250) and will be featured in the spring 2027 issue of Missionary Pulse and on our social media channels.
