Br. Brian Boyle, C.PP.S., celebrates 25 years of Brotherhood

We are pleased to recognize Br. Brian Boyle, C.PP.S., on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his incorporation in the Missionaries of the Precious Blood. This milestone marks 25 years of dedicated service, pastoral ministry, and faithful witness to Christ’s redeeming love.

Br. Brian was born on March 25, 1970, in East Chicago, Indiana. He was baptized at St. John the Baptist Parish in Whiting, Indiana, and later confirmed there on Nov. 6, 1983. He entered the community on April 1, 1998, at Gaspar House in Dayton, Ohio, and was incorporated at St. Charles, Carthagena, Ohio, on August 19, 2001. His definitive incorporation was celebrated on Aug. 15, 2004, at his home parish of St. John the Baptist.

Br. Brian’s ministry has included service in health care, higher education, and formation, reflecting the charism of the Precious Blood through reconciliation, accompaniment, and compassionate care. He began with Clinical Pastoral Education at Christ Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, and completed his continuing master’s program at Catholic Theological Union. He subsequently served as a chaplain at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, Illinois, and later joined the board of trustees at Calumet College of St. Joseph in Whiting, Indiana, contributing to the governance and mission of Catholic higher education.

Since 2016, Br. Brian has served as a staff chaplain at Franciscan Health in Whiting, Indiana. He has also held leadership roles within the community, including associate director of Companions and local director of the brothers’ community. Through his chaplaincy and community leadership, he continues to provide steady pastoral presence, guidance, and support to those he serves.

Over the past 25 years, Br. Brian has served with commitment and generosity, demonstrating a deep fidelity to the mission and charism of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood. We join in gratitude for his ministry and in recognition of the many lives touched through his service.

Congratulations, Br. Brian Boyle, on the 25th anniversary of your incorporation. May God continue to grant you strength and grace in your ministry.

“Woe to you shepherds of Israel, who only take care of yourselves! Should not shepherds take care of the flock? You eat the curds, clothe yourselves with the wool and slaughter choice animals, but you do not take care of the flock. You have not strengthened the weak or heal the sick or bind up the injured. You have not brought back strays or or searched for the lost. You have ruled them harshly and brutally.” Ezekiel 34:2-4
