Feast of the Most Precious Blood
On this Feast of the Most Precious Blood, I warmly greet each of you with gratitude and hope. This day invites us to contemplate the immeasurable love of God revealed in the Blood of Christ — the price of our redemption, the source of reconciliation, and the wellspring of hope for the world.
St. Gaspar del Bufalo saw in the Precious Blood the very heart of the Gospel. Every person is of infinite worth because Christ shed his Blood for all. His example continues to challenge us to go where hope is most needed and to proclaim, by our lives as much as our words, that God's love has the power to heal every wound and restore every relationship.
The spirituality of the Precious Blood reminds us that authentic mission begins with hearts transformed by God's mercy and flows outward in compassionate service, justice, and peace. As we continue this mission, I also invite you to visit our new Vocations page on our website, where those discerning God's call can find an abundance of resources, inspiration, and information about the spirituality of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood. Please share it with anyone who may be exploring how God is inviting them to serve the Church.
As we celebrate this feast, may we renew our commitment to the mission entrusted to us. May the Precious Blood deepen our communion with Christ, strengthen our bonds as a missionary family, and inspire us to accompany those on the margins with humility, courage, and joy.
