Closing Prayer for November 6 Prayer Session

By Patricia Gabow

Dear Lord we know that you are always present .

May your presence and your Holy Spirit be with us today and for many days to come as we face the reality of this election.

May we still see the beauty in this world that you have given us.

May we be both grateful for what we have and hopeful for the future

May we try to understand the many others who have made different choices.

May we join together and work peacefully with others to resist and prevent what goes against the common good, what devalues others, and what weakens our democracy.

May we remember, honor, and be inspired by people now and in other generations who have met greater challenges with the help of your grace.

Amen
