Sorrowful Mother Shrine update March 2026
Missionaries of the Precious Blood offer a variety of ministries at the Sorrowful Mother Shrine
The Missionaries of the Precious Blood are committed to serving those who may feel separated from society by bringing them near through the blood of Christ. This commitment to serve is reflected in the variety of ministries offered by the clergy at the Sorrowful Mother Shrine. Individuals seeking spiritual solitude, guidance, and a sense of a prayerful community are grateful for the efforts put forth by Fr. Yuri Kuzara, C.PP.S., Fr. Patrick Gonyeau, C.PP.S., Fr. Marco Loth, C.PP.S., and Br. Daryl Charron, C.PP.S., Rector.
Fr. Yuri Kuzara makes himself available at least once a month, sometimes twice, in the gift shop at the Sorrowful Mother Shrine. He is happy to bless items purchased by shoppers or by people who stop in with items previously purchased. In addition, he is available to answer religiously oriented questions and offer counsel to those seeking spiritual guidance.
Fr. Marco Loth presides over Eucharistic Adoration in the shrine chapel every Thursday from 5 to 6 p.m. Participants wishing to deepen their relationship with Jesus can spend time adoring the true presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
Br. Daryl Charron and Fr. Patrick Gonyeau lead the faithful in a prayerful dive in the Sacred Scriptures every Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. in the Pilgrim Center. The Living Word Power Hour is designed to offer participants a meaningful time of worship, prayer, and reflection on Scripture.
Fr. Patrick Gonyeau presents a one-day retreat every month in the Pilgrim Center. His prior retreats have included, “Speak, For Your Servant is Listening,” “O Come, O Come Emanuel,” “Healing through the Eucharist,” and “Come Away Beloved.” Monthly retreats will continue to be offered for the foreseeable future. In addition to the retreats, Fr. Patrick presides over a Eucharist Healing Service once a quarter.
The clergy also work in unison in visiting two area nursing homes once a week to offer religious support to residents and staff.
